Initially founded by and for Syrian artists with difficulties accessing workspace after leaving their country to settle in Istanbul, arthereistanbul is a space for artistic creation where artists can work and exhibit their work. It also includes art management programmes, a residency, offers art-related activities and represents artists. arthereistanbul is a member of ResArtis Network for residencies. The resident artists benefit from a multicultural environment and have opportunities to broaden their vision and understanding of the region particularly in terms of culture and the arts while working in a cosmopolitan, international atmosphere. The residents are promised full understanding, the right support and constructive guidance to develop their own artwork.
