Çağla Meknuze graduated from İzmir Private Tevfik Fikret High School (2003) and from the Galatasaray University’s Communication Faculty (2007). Between the years 2008-2011, she worked as a reporter, editor and producer for NTV. She was invited to participate in the group exhibition Young, New, Different in 2014 at Zilberman Gallery. Her poetry series The Body of Ave won the notable category of the 2015 Varlık Magazine’s Yaşar Nabi Nayır Youth Awards and was published as a book. Her poems have been published in many literary magazines both in Turkey and abroad, including the 2017-2018 World Poetry Almanac, spanning 100 poets from 70 countries. She also participated in the Arts and Culture Writing Workshop held by the British Council and Mixer art gallery on the occasion of the 15th İstanbul Biennial. The festivals she participated in include the 2nd International Nilüfer Poetry Festival, the 2nd Offline İstanbul International Poetry Festival, and the 11th International İstanbul Poetry & Literature Festival. Her poetry is also available in English, Dutch, Croatian, Kurdish and Hebrew. Çağla lives and works in İstanbul.
