KASIA FUDAKOWSKI

Born in London, 1985, Kasia Fudakowski lives and works in Berlin. Fudakowski’s diverse and playful practice, which includes sculpture, performance, writing and film, explores social riddles through material encounters, surreal logic and comic theory. Her on-going film project, Word Count, received the Otto d’Ame award for development as a part of Features Expanded in 2016, and was exhibited as a part of a recent solo exhibition at 1646 in The Hague in 2019 and the Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf in 2018. She received the Villa Romana Prize in 2017 as well as a fellowship at the Günther Peill Foundation. Her work has recently been exhibited at Arario (Seoul), Lokremise (Saint-Gallen), the Futura Centre for Contemporary Art (Prague), and as part of Kronos e Kairos, Palatino, Parco Archeologico del Colosseo (Rome); A Good Neighbour, the 15th İstanbul Biennial; Produktion! Made in Germany Drei, Sprengel Museum (Hannover); and Bring Art into Life!, Museum Ludwig (Cologne).
