EKIN CAN GOKSOY

Born in 1987 in Bursa, Ekin Can Göksoy is a writer and a storyteller currently based in İstanbul. He has completed a BSc in Electrical - Electronics Engineering at the METU and a MA in Cultural Studies at the İstanbul Bilgi University. He published his first collection of short stories, Münhal, in 2014 and his first novel, Epope Tatavla, in 2016 with İletişim Publications. Working and collaborating on verbal and nonverbal storytelling performances with Slobodan Dan Paich, the director of Artship Foundation, San Francisco, USA since 2017, Göksoy has taken part in a series of performances, staged in İstanbul and San Francisco between 2017 and 2019. In 2018, his first exhibition, A Chance for a Miracle, a collaboration with Larissa Araz, opened in Poşe Art Space in İstanbul. Active in the field of film criticism, Göksoy has been writing film critiques and pieces on the history of cinema for FilmLoverss since 2015. He currently pursues a PhD on urban history at the Boğaziçi University’s History department.
